Matthew, Mark, Luke & John: Session 44

In this session, Jesus is invited to a dinner with religious leaders where he's set up for another Sabbath trap. After springing the trap, he finds the opportunity to teach them about mercy, humility, hospitality, the call to salvation and the cost of discipleship. The most telling and somewhat surprising portion of Luke Chapter 14 is what Jesus had to say about the demands of discipleship which would seem to be a direct rebuke to the "Prosperity Gospel" and the Christianized version of "The American Dream".
